Heath Ledger R.I.P.

I heard this news whilst at a gig with Rimbaud III, who was sent a text message relating this. Then people around us started talking in excited and wounded tones about this. We both felt a little bemused and left out: from the reactions of those nearby, one would think some kind of generation warping event was occurring.

And we were at a Rothko gig. Whom I would not have thought would have had an audience that intersected with Heath Ledger. Perhaps it was the nerdy Batman/Chris Nolan aspect.

He was in a great, modest and fun pulp caper called "Two Hands" before he came to Hollywood. He held up well playing dumb before the awesome Bryan Brown.
Gib Opi kein Opium, denn Opium bringt Opi um!

Based on the rapidity with which this thread has blossomed into a three-page discourse on its subject, one would think that Heath Ledger played bass in a seminal angular post-punk band.
