I would say a "conspiracy theory" is "... (goes on saying pretty much what i said but taking a lot longer about it)

Like I said.
Your definitions are different.

A 'Conspiracy Theorist' usually tries to uncover or identify a 'conspiracy' when they see (or think they see) inconsistencies or blatant falsehoods in official theories.
Sometimes they are paranoid and crazy when they see these inconsistencies and falsehoods.

Sometimes they are not.

You are defining a 'conspiracy theorist' as one who ties all potential conspiracies together in one massive overarching global conspiracy.
I would say some conspiracy theorists do that

but not all.

You said all people who theorise an unofficial conspiracy might explain an event are stupid.
My point was that that assertion - according to how I define a 'conspiracy' - is stupid.

I have to admit, considering the Church's extremely aggressive litigiousness and notorious dirty tactics, it's a bit ballsy for a C-lister like O'Connell, who probably doesn't work all that often, to take the piss out of Cruise like this.

Well, he need not fear. He has a Secret Identity.

I agree. Salut! Jerry O'Connell. Your Tom Cruise impression was adequate and entertaining.
