Probably not real popular on this board, but Joe Henry. Totally fucking genius artist whose albums have been all over the place, each better than the previous. His new album, "Civilians", is one of the best things ever recorded.

Seriously, compare: "Frightened" to "New Face In Hell" to "Disney's Dream Debased" to "Dr. Bucks' Letter." The only things remaining consistent throughout are Mark E. Smith and the quality.
