In the plans there's the "construction view" figure where you can see the inner frame of the cab, maybe I should call it the foundation. fuck my english. Anyhow, there are the back cleats, horizontal and vertical ones. Now which is sitting on which? I mean the horizontal is above and underneath the vertical cleats or vice versa? or actually it doesn't really matter? To me it seems like the vertical cleats are placed between the top and bottom cleats.

The Mesa cabs have the speaker mounted from the front, while the EV ones have it mounted from the back. I think I will mount it from the front. How is it going to change the sound of the cab? how much should I take the baffle in? 3/4"?

Ok, I went through the whole thread again, here Chris Jury said:

Isn't it better to use them from the outside? seems like it will be more sturdy that way.

Eliya- I don't know that it makes much of a difference, screwing the cleats from the inside or outside. with all the glue, they aren't going anywhere, but i throw some screws in just so i don't have to try to clamp anything...and i do that from the inside so i don't have to countersink or have screw heads along the exterior ( i would have to pay closer attention to my screw spacign instead of just throwing a few in).

I'm thrinking about building a 1x12. My side-project band travels in my toyota corolla, so it needs to fit into the trunk neatly.
