They sound an awful lot like things I kind of enjoy and I appreciate the DIY aesthetic...I even agree with the message to some extent. It's just...I listen to music for enjoyment, not a motherfucking lecture. Yeah, there's "political" content in a lot of stuff I like, be it "American Ruse" by the MC5 or shit from the Minutemen or whatever. I don't need a fold-out insert with pictures of bloody soldiers and the locations of my local food collectives.

I appreciate what they were trying to do and believe that they were the genuine article, but fuck if its not just awful music to my ears nowadays.

I have no idea why, but I like Conflict a lot more than Crass. (And Steve Ignorant was in both!)

I have liked them since I was a kid and have taken shit from a number of people for it. I think their music has stood the test of time even though I only put them on the turntable maybe once or twice a year at this point. Not crap, but I can see how some folks consider them annoying.
