i had my lung collapse once as well.

the worst pain you can imagine - with every breath.

if its real bad - they stick a tube in your side to suck out the air thats formed between the outside of the lung and your chest cavity - allowing the lung to reinflate.

generally - its not terribly serious. or so they led me to believe.

they did nothing to me and i was ok after a few days - even playing shows.

ive hung with yow a time or two. hope he is ok.

I just heard that he's recovering and is feeling better.
The short western in which he acted this summer, Al's Beef, has its premiere this thursday in Los Angeles at the New Beverly Theater, with music by yours truly in it.
Get well, Preacher!

myspace bulletin wrote:Everyone,
In case you haven't heard, Matt and David have both been hospitalized in the last week. Matt, with an inflamed, infected and strained heart, had 3 small strokes.
David, in Pittsburgh at the time, suffered a collapsed lung.
Both are doing better with hopeful futures but are not out of the woods yet.
As a result we have had to cancel our March European tour so they can heal and rest.
For the time being I'll be hosting Matt's Karaoke night this Monday at the Cha Cha lounge to raise funds for his hospital bills. We'd love to see you down there.
