I support Leeds United.

I always liked Lukic because, even if he did punch into his own net against Rangers (blinded by the Ibrox floodlights, apparently), we had similar hair.

1484Yeah, I understand that. Where does the hatred between these two stem from?

1486Fuck it, I just made some radical changes to my team. Why? Because me and Tommy had pretty much the same team and if I kept with the same set of players I'd never catch him up. I like the look of my new team better, and Gerrard was just not worth the money I could get for him.

1487Now I don't know whether to hang on to him or not.
If he picks up I will go mad.

1488My managerial genius is for rash and sometimes seemingly unjustifiable decisions. It's what's gotten Portmerion FC to second in the league, and what will assure our eventual victory

Well, the War of the Roses, for one thing - the houses of Lancaster and Yorkshire, the red rose against the white rose... and then in the sixties and seventies, when both teams had brilliant successes, They became the darling of the media world while Leeds were widely hated and the siege mentality common to most Leeds fans (and, in those days, the team) set in. The parallels between the teams then are great - two northern powerhouses managed by fatherly managers, moulding great skill (Eddie Gray, George Best) with grit (Norman Hunter, Nobby Stiles). Only one team has the knighthoods, though.
Before you think it's jealousy, though, I ought to point out that They hate Leeds just as much as Leeds hates Them.
Plus, Leeds' Yorkshire rivals were rarely competitive enough to foster real rivalry - it was always Leeds against Them and Chelsea and that is where the real enmity lay, and lies.

1490Now we aren't in the same division, I don't really care about scum. It seems like they exist on another level. Obviously I'd prefer Arsenal to win the league but it doesn't trouble me on a day to day basis.
I feel a strong emotional connection to Leeds United. Scum are just a nothing. A void. It's like hating McDonalds or something. It's not part of my life so I don't give a shit.
