No conclusive proof handy here, as I've yet to master my remote spying technology... but the lack of approval for Devo to release the "AUE" video was probably not personal but due to some bullshit Hendrix Estate infighting where some distant brother-in-law somehow wrangled the rights to benefit from video licensing, and the Estate have turned down several video licensing rights to bands for anything that covers Hendrix just so said brother-in-law doesn't get paid.
The Hendrix Estate is the craziest real life soap opera ever.

32And of course, Not Crap
All of the albums until Freedom Of Choice are essential. New Traditionalists is not essential but highly recommended. Oh No! It's Devo is ok for a few songs. Shout is too, but less ok songs. Total Devo, eh. You can see where this is going.

I get exactly what you mean, but we're one album out-of-sync for our personal cut-off points:
I'd say: All of the albums until New Traditionalists are essential. Oh No! It's Devo is not essential but highly recommended. Shout is ok for a few songs. Total Devo is too, but less ok songs (ok maybe only one, actually: "Happy Guy")

36I really enjoy the Devo song being used in the Intel ads, "Watch Us Work It." I even enjoy this song when set to a Goldfrapp video.
Way to go, Devo!

37"Are We Not Men..." is a great record; Gut Feeling is one of my favorite songs.
Saw the reunion footage and it was better than average, which is good for the reunion tour thing.

39The fact that there are (at this point) 2 Crap votes more than proves that de-evolution is real. I also think these Crap voters have never heard the "Live - the Mongoloid Years" either.

40I really like DEVO.
also Alan Myers is one of the best rock drummers ever, if you look at the concert clips from around '79 the guy could completely punish.
