EE Class: MIT 6.002 - Circuits & Electronics (read this

As folks may know, a number of people have decided to follow a common schedule in watching and discussing the MIT online course 6.002 – Circuits and Electronics. The online page for the course is available

For those who have either said they’d be interested in signing up for the course in related threads or who have PM’d me, I’ve promised that, at the end of all the courses, I’ll mail you a homemade diploma. We’ll see if I live up to it.

Every week on Sunday, I’ll start a new thread. We’ll follow the schedule I lay out below. I have started a new user name – JFQ EE – that I will only use for these posts. Anyone who comes in late who wants to see these threads only can search under that user name and will see all the relevant threads.

In those threads, folks may want to trade questions and ideas, mention any technical difficulties, point out any quirks of the professor, whatever. Out of respect for those who are only interested in these classes and their subject matter, I just ask that people keep posts on topic.

That’s it. These lectures can also be downloaded for free from the iTunes store by following this path:

Home>iTunesU>MIT>Electrical Engineering and Computer Science>MIT 6.002 Video

(While people are obviously welcome to go at their own pace, the schedule I’ll lay out below is intended to build a peer group that will give support and maybe a sense of accountability to actually get this done.)
