Cheap n Cheerful UK Studios?

Another vote for dropout in south london. my old band recorded with tim on a number of occasions, always good results. I also did a few sessions with steve from blood red shoes down in brighton (16 track analogue) I think he's probably really busy but someone else might be using his machine? Jon on here would know! Several friends have also recorded at Hall Place and with John Hannon at No (i did a session there but it was to logic) and both are reportedly very good. There's a dude in the new forest (Chuckalumba I think) who has a good analogue set up but I don't know anyone personally who's been in there.. though electric wizard used it and the record sounds good! Ultimately 24track analogue recording is always going to cost you more cash than doing stuff straight to a hard drive in someone's damp garage.. just cos of the expense of maintaining the gear and that, but if that's what you want pay for it! Locally to Hereford, hmmm.. I'm not sure.. There used to be a well respected studio in Weston Super Mare? Adam I would know about that,

Did you ever hear 'the story' about that?

I trust you did?

Jesus fucking Christ, under absolutely no circumstances would I recommend recording there.

That is one studio story that I should not, cannot and will not share here.
I walk these streets, a loaded six-string on my back.
