Why I didn't go see them somewhere else after that is a complete mystery to me. But, I must say I missed out on that one, and all the other times Figazi played in the area and I failed to go.
A tornado ripped the roof off of the venue I was supposed to go see R.E.M. at. Shortly thereafter, Bill Berry left the band. Apparently a wise decision as I went to see them a few years ago and it was awful. All was not lost, as I attended a smaller concert that night and was introduced to the Dismemberment Plan.
Due to friendships and convenience, the Dismemberment Plan and Fugazi are probably the two bands I've seen most often.
