Nope. Not if you get a tat of Kurt Cobain and Elvis on either arm. Next week I'm going to have Tupac tat'd on my left pec. Then Ian Curtis on my right.

Didn't Fred Durst get a tattoo of Kurt Cobain and Elvis Presley?

That's the type of thing that would prevent me from ever getting a tattoo.

I have a tattoo. If this infuriates anyone...

Not Crap. I really really want another, but I'm so indecisive and it's such a big commitment... I just don't know.

Kaching! You are right.

My cousin lost a bet w/ a friend and had to get a tattoo. He got I-35 on his arm, as that's where he was birthed.

Now this makes sense- tattoos w/ purpose.

I've yet to see someone w/ a tattoo of Bill Gates.

Interesting that this should come up....
Do any of you DC guys know Mike Sikes? He is the artist that has been working on me for several years, and he was from DC. About 2 or so years ago he moved back there. Now I don't know how to get in touch with him, and I don't want anyone else to tattoo me. I need to get some more work done, so if anyone knows him or where he's working, could you please please please help a girl out and put us in contact with eachother?

Somebody's gotta know him - he's a fantastic artist and a really awesome guy. Please help!

Thanks
Rach

It seems to me that people are confusing getting a tattoo with getting a bad tattoo

Right on. I don't have any tattoos, because I've never found an image which means enough to me to have it marked on my body for ever.

except maybe this one....

But saying all tattoos are crap because some mortards choose to get poorly considered uglyness tattooed on them is like saying all t-shirts are crap because of this:

The best tattoos I ever saw were on an old soldier who was a patient of mine in London.
His tatts depicted a bottle of drink, a hand of cards, a pipe and a woman. He told me that they represented "the four downfalls of man". Sweet.

Sorry, can't get the pictures to work, bloody imagehosting.....

i met a loathsome girl with lame tat's. i hated tattoos for a long long time. they still aren't for me.

i worked with a guy who told me of a friend who had a mobius strip, the symbol for pi, and a microscope tattooed on him.

one day i was talking to a prospective guitar player for a band i was assembling and asked him, "do you have any tattoos?" he said, "a couple."
and i said, "as long as it's not pi and a mobius strip..." and he was like "who told you?"

anyways, i'd rather spend the money on something else.

i'm not accusing anyone here of doing this, but i believe some people get them in an attempt to carve their personality out a bit. doing it for this reason is lame. there are better ways to be a human, i think. you wanna know me you can talk to me, not read me. ironic as reading this bit let's you know me a little bit.
