Had a chance to see _____ live. Now he-she is dead.
51Ah, it would have been nice to see Bill Hicks. But you know what would have ruled? Seeing Richard Pryor in the 70's.

They were three of my favorite bands at the time. Voivod was my favorite favorite. I honestly can't say why I didn't go; I don't remember if it was that I didn't hear about it until after it happened, or if I didn't have the money, or if I didn't have a ride there or what... but now that Piggy from Voivod is dead, that's one band I won't get to see.

I go back and forth in pretty much the same way about Chuck Berry... (and it makes me feel kind of like an ass)
GIRLFRIEND: "Did you see? Chuck Berry's playing again pretty soon..."
ME: "Yeah, yeah, I saw that..."
GIRLFRIEND: "We should probably go see him."
ME: "Yeah, we probably should."

You dropped the ball on seeing him at NU's Dillo Day in 2005, didn't you?
He seemed to be going through the motions at that show.
Maybe it was age, maybe it was the fact that no one paid to get in, but still fun hearing those songs in a live setting.

Well, since I haven't seen him, that seems OBVIOUS.
I think he played New Year's Eve, at Navy Pier, since then also.
