122Hey Hogrot, does Todd know that you're from Jersey? That seems to hold a significant amount of sway with him.

123yeah i was living in hoboken when i asked him for a show. he said he'd find us a slot but never followed up. I'm going to drop in again and give him a demo when we get our shit mastered.
we'll get in there eventually, i know one of the bartenders who books there occasionally, i just wish it could be sooner than later.
(sorry i shouldn't be bitching in this thread anyway)

125Every time we've played Maxwell's it was because another higher-billed band on the show suggested us. Plus we've played WFMU a couple of times, I think that helped.
Now I work there, but booking shows at anywhere but a basement is still a mystery to me. I don't think you could pay me enough to listen to the mountain of press kits in the office.
Riding the coat-tails of better bands = NOT CRAP

We will finally have our new cd at this show. Can't wait for the vinyl to get here...
wow. who's brilliant idea was it to have 7 bands?
I would rather bite my own fingers off than to have to watch 7 bands in one night. Even if they were good, I would hate bands 3-7 for making me be there.
I need to keep an eye on Maxwells. It is within striking distance of my home, and I like the room except when it gets real crowded.

127For those coming on Friday, please show up early and help us lug our 200 lb subwoofer down those terrible steps.

Ain't so bad. First band on at 8, last band on at 12. Quick changeovers and half hour sets. To do 7 bands in one night you gotta crack the whip!

130Howdy, I wanted to let y'all know about 3 shows the Enablers (SF) are playing in early March.
These guys are really great friends of mine and a fine, fine, fine band to boot. I've put them on twice and will make it a third later in March but for now, before they fly over they will play in NYC for the first time!!

Please go along if you can and I really hope you like um. They're truly a swell bunch of guys and some of you probably have some weird, decade old links to the members as I tend to find when I've been out and about with them.
Okay, enough praise, go see the rock!!!
