I'm 6/80ths the way to #1.

I typed this in another thread;

I was wondering if anyone can recommend/show me the missing link between Slint and Godspeed. I'm aware of and like Labradford, Rachel's, Rodan, June of 44 etc, I'm interested in hearing some post-rock type bands that were active and releasing records in the early 90's before Godspeed blew up with their first album. It doesn't have to be highly original or ground-breaking stuff, just bands that worked in that area of music.

bark psychosis. i have to thank the prf sendspace thread for that. outstanding.

i also recommend talk talk's "spirit of eden" and "laughing stock," both of which have that "post-rock" kind of sound. at least i think they do.

Thanks for the reply, I've got most of the Tortoise output, I really like Shipping News and I love Talk Talk, those two albums are staples in my music listening.

I'll check out Bark Psychosis, I think I recognise the name maybe. Cheers.
