Be careful with the margaritas at fucking Polvos, they put everclear in them! Bellini went there to celebrate Giovanna's birthday and we got completely shit-faced.

There's a place near my former office in Manhattan that does the same thing. Rio Grande. Jesus christ, they're deadly.

Those margaritas were the cause of my infamous "Black Friday" lunch that nearly lost me my job and is still talked about at that agency.

End Of An Ear, Homeslice, Magnolia Cafe, Little Mexico, L a Mexicana (for baked goods), Cheapo's. Ramsey Park (north-central, near 40th) is good if you want to play a game of pick-up basketball. They have a small, nice pool that's open spring through summer.

Stay away from Torchy's Tacos, a trailer on S.1st a few blocks south of Polvo's. overpriced white folk tacos.
kind of an old thread but sxsw's 2 weeks away.

If you have to go down to 6th street, make sure to grab yourself a best wurst with the curry ketchup. that is if you eat meat.

also, i believe that lone star is considered the national beer of texas, so you might want to drink a few of those too.

oh, and you should go see wussy's showcase, and probably wax fang's too.

I thought Cheapos kinda sucked. Waterloo's used section is wonderful though. Last time I went I got ACDC, Tar, Killdozer, Denison Kimball Trio, and a few others I can't remember. All were pretty cheap. Also got a MR T IN MY POCKET.

Did not check out End of an Ear because Chunklet was doing some party there.

If its not Lone Star, its imported.
