He might be the one guy I'll never be able to C/NC. Just when I think he's pure bullshit, I'll hear a song in a bar or something and think he's all right after all. Then just when I think he's okay, I'll hear a song in a bar or something and think what the fuck was I thinking this guy is horrible.
A few years ago, I heard "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore" on the radio and really liked it. It was a pretty self-aware song by and about a guy who was past his prime and trying to own up to it. It wasn't nostalgic (the kiss of death) but it was aware of the past. It was also a wonderful, sparse recording that stood out in stark contrast to the Shania Twain-meets-Stephen Hawking production of all the other music I heard on the radio that evening.
Heather got me the album as a gift. The whole rest of the album is tragic crap. Like horrible, fuck you Elton what's with this crap crap.
