I have 3 huges plots for gardening but I suck at it. The only thing I can get to grow decently is tomatoes but anyone can do that shit. By the time I get to the things they usually have gaping holes in 'em and are half rotted. I'm thinking about sodding over the plots. Anyone know of any decent books other than "Gardening for Dummies"? (that's the only one I have)

Early blight? I got it this autumn. You can get it on your tomatoes when the temperature drops and the humidity is high.

Two major things that might help you: always water in the morning and always water the earth below the plant and not the leaves.

If you see it beginning again you have to make sure you prune that shit off pronto. It's only a matter of time but if you dispose of the infected vegetation promptly you can delay it's spread.

If you can grow tomatoes you should be able to grow peppers as well.

Thanks. Will try again. I got pissed off last year, yanked out the lot and went to a farmer's market instead. Do you/does anyone here compost? I tried it and just made a mess.

Shit, I found out just the other day that I was cultivating what my old vert. zoology professor dubbed, "the greenhouse pest". I threw those out and am now attempting to coax some marigolds to life. I really like growing things in the greenhouse, I fear I may be turning into Justin Quayle.

the Girlfreind and I are going to do a garden this year, I have never done such a thing, any advice you can give I will take, as I really have no clue what I am doing with such a thing...
