I dunno; I'd actually want to see the surreal spectacle of a sixtysomething Iggy rolling around in shattered glass singing, "Gonna dress you up in my love." I hope Mike Watt is there to make it go down easier.

Given Watt's well-documented obsession with Madonna, I'm sure he'll be having a fine old time. Beyond the fact they're both from Michigan and have an exhibitionistic streak, I'm still not sure what the Madonna/Iggy connection is supposed to be.

Both released all their best records in the first seven years of their careers?

He went to bed about a decade ago, or whenever he sold his soul to the bankers and the elites.

I am pretty sure Iggy Pop and Madonna are friends.
I've seen a video of them hanging out backstage somewhere chit chatting, at some festival or something. They looked pretty friendly, like they knew each other.

Remember Madonna was big in the whole art dance rock New York scene in the early 80's, I imagine they crossed paths a few times.

The Stooges doing a Madonna song sounds cool to me, why not?
