I find Danzig so hilariously goofy it's not crap.

I'm sure he doesn't like to be thought of that way and would punch my throat in if I ever met him which would be crap.

funny... the site i review for (live4metal.com) got a promo of north side kings. i passed it up and for good reason, i don't like much hardcore. but that clip shows that one of their members has the (somewhat dubious) distinction of flooring danzig after being shoved.

Hey, I like everything he did through How the Gods Kill, including Samhain and especially the Misfits. Those first three solo albums are a huge guilty pleasure for me. I know it's cock rock, but the songs are catchy, and the guy has such a cool voice. I'm sorry! The guy is hilarious, but his voice is cool!

I heard he showed up on the set of the X-men movie in a wolvirine outfit and just assumed he was in the movie.

A friend of mine had a great story about Glenn Danzig ... he used to book punk rock shows in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and put on what turned out to be one of the last shows by Samhain (though no one knew that at at time). Glenn and company arrive in Kzoo, play their show, and afterwards are sitting in the backstage green room, relaxing before heading out for the night. Glenn is thinking out loud, not talking to anyone in particular, when he says, "Man, I'm sick of playing these shitty little punk rock shows for the same two hundred kids each time, and making $150 each night. What I ought to do is put together a dumb-ass heavy metal band and make me some money." About a year and a half later, Samhain was over with, and Glenn was making the first Danzig album ... draw your own conclusions!
