There is one for sale that i am considering, does anyone have any experience or opinions of these?

I know they are probably at the lower end of the console range but i simply do not have the funds or work to justify buying a Neotek, Neve, Api or similar at the moment.

I have heard they are supposed to sound o.k. and be reasonably reliable...

i figure for monitoring with a few nice outboard pres i would be in reasonable shape to make a decent recording.
the other option i was considering was a sound workshop, but cant seem to find one in the area, and shipping puts the price too high.

Depends on the price/condition. I think they are great boards for the money. Plenty of auxs, reasonably small foot print for such a well specified desk.

Very useable. It's not going to be an API, but then again it's going to cost you a shit load less!

I would take one of these over and above most other consoles below $15,000 unless I could get a Neotek and rebuild it or an Amek Angela (again rebuilding it).

Then again, the used UK market is pretty expensive and there isn't a lot going over here.

All the same, go check it out and see what you think because regardless of what anyone here tells you it's your money!

Like I said, as long as the price is right I think they make for a good workhorse console. Plus the 32 buss thing is wicked awsome.

i ended up losing the auction... kinda spewing as i read some nice things.
oh well, the search for a decent console continues.
