If you're near Duke's, you should definitely go to Chucks. The BBQ is good and the specials are excellent.

Oh yeah Chucks is good, as is the pit in Hickory Hills

Finally, went to Smoque today and had the sliced brisket and pulled pork. I thought it was really good. It only took maximum 30 min. to wait in line, order, and receive food. It's a little over-hyped for what it is, but I'd definitely recommend it and go back myself.

So I need to find somewhere to take my parents on Sunday, any ideas?

They've been there already, they demand a new restaurant everytime we go out. I have to wow them as well. They live in the burbs where there's nothing, so they get a real kick out of eating at some crazy restaurant in the city once a month.

I can personally vouch for Cafe 28, a place that serves Cuban/Mexican fare at Irving Park and Ravenswood and owned by family friends of the wife. Been there lotsa times, not that cheap but you won't be sorry. All kinds of parking on the east side of the Metra tracks on Ravenswood north of Irving.

Will most likely have a crowd, but it's goddamned Easter for chrissake.

I had dinner at Crisp, 2940 N Broadway Ave. It's right across from the Soupbox in the old Ricebox store front. Man it was good!

It got a great review in the reader and it'll be on abc 7 10pm news friday night. It's a Korean bbq chicken place. Some other reviews are here:
