this thing has been in the works for quite some time now. A friend of mine had one of Hennry Rollins diary/poetry book thingies and I read a chapter about his tours with Black Flag and the Minutemen. all i can remeber is that Rollins couldn't stand Mike Watt because he wouldn't stop talking. And he insisted that they only listen to his cassette tapes while on the road. lol.

Anyways, Mike, D and George are the guys that introduced me too a world of music outside of MTV and the Radio. I got to meet and shake Mr. Watts hand at the age of 13. I really think i owe it all to these guys.

watt you are definatly the tugboat!

They're having a premiere at a theater in San Pedro, complete with a question-and-answer period with Mssr.s Watt and Hurley. I'll be there. One of the benefits of living in Los Angeles. I intend not to ask Mike, "Dude, how's yer perineum?" That would just be unseemly.
If it wasn't for landlords, there would have been no Karl Marx.

I have a bootleg copy of the 80's documentary, "Corndogs." It's good.

As somebody whose life was influenced pretty strongly by the Minutemen, I can say I hope this is the last time their story is told. They were obsessive self-mythologizers almost since Day 1. You pretty much have to look to Tupac or something to find a musical artist more in love with his own artistic biography.

Enough, already.

yeah, no shit. I can't wait to see this movie. I was lucky enough to see them like four times when I grew up in SoCal. They completely ruled everytime. Saw that some of my other SST faves or types are also being interviewed like Ginn, Milo Aukerman, Jack Brewer and a bunch more.
After all of these years the Minutemen and D. Boon are still a big inspiration..
