That's strange, I always thought the fascistic christian right was all about churning the vat of prejudice towards us non-believers, y'know with Carl Sagan's skull being the drinking gourd of satan and all. Here's why there is so much sneering and jeering on the part of scientists everywhere:

If the sellout liberals had the guts to go after the real villains in society, rather than burn energy insulting God believers, they probably wouldn't need to compensate for their blind spots by bullying religious people and other approved targets.

So, it's the liberals fucking providence to root out the real villains in society? Fuck that, it should be EVERYONE's responsibility to do that. Here, let me end the mind numbing debate of religion vs. science once and for all with a terribly simple quote:
