I can't help it. That song is so fucking stupid that it's fun to shout that chorus at the top of my lungs when i'm fucking around with my homies. I agree though, that song and everything out of NO LIMIT Records is shit. Don't Tell Master P I said that, dude will kill my ass.

The other day, I stopped at a Circle K to get a soda before practice, and the cashier was wearing this massive gold No Limit necklace. I didn't recognize him, but I reckon he's probably a former No Limit soldier maybe. Uuuuhhhhh, or something.

This whole thread surprises me. I think awful lyrics are one of the great joys of rock. You get some really god-awlful lyrics sung earnestly, and it's magic! ex: Dio--
"Ride the tiger
You can see his stripes but you know he's clean
Oh don't you see what I mean"
I don't see what he means and I don't care. It's just plain fuckin awesome.

or Ween--
"or hither not, I am the stallion
Come fear, come love, I am the stallion
You know that I am the stallion, mang
I am, I am the stallion, mang
You know that I am the stallion, mang
I live, I walk, I am the stallion, mang

Hair-throng goo-tongue, stallion mang
A 2 S-T-A-L-L-I-O-N
I am the stallion, mang

1: I can drink
2: I get groomed
3: I go for a walk
I am the stallion, mang
You know that I am the stallion, mang"
Also terrible and awesome.

I think when things go bad is when the band is not in on the joke. I really think Interpol is in on the joke.

Fred Durst, NOT in on the joke. My way or the highway (?!?!)
He prolly read that on a bumpersticker.

I suppose this thread could go on forever...

On the way into work this morning i heard "the trees" by rush. I was literally cringing as i listened to geddy lee sing...

"the oaks can't help their feelings if they like the way they're made
and they wonder why the maples can't be happy in their shade"

Then i had to change the station when i heard...

"the maples scream 'oppression'
and the oaks just shake their heads"

I love the guitar solo breakdown in the middle section though, so i turned it back to hear that.

I heard this song for the first time on the radio a year or two ago. I was embarrassed to be listening to it, and embarrassed for Rush for writing and playing it. This song is terrible enough to stand out as particularly bad in Rush's already uniformly laughable and terrible back catalogue. It may be the worst song I have ever heard in my life (maybe second to any song that involves Steven Tyler on vocals). I seem to recall there being a bunch of fruity wood-block kinda percussion in that song as well. Appalling.

I can't believe no one has mentioned this supreme clunker from Pantera's "This Love" yet:

a drugged-up Phil Anselmo wrote:And sometimes I feel so sorry
I regret this the hurting of you
But you make me so unhappy
I'd take my life and leave love with you

First of all, rhyming "you" with "you" is pretty sad. It's not a difficult syllable to rhyme with. Think harder, fucko.

Secondly, "the hurting of you"? The hurting of you?
