Today I'm hypersensitive to high pitched sounds. As I was late for work the bus was full of middled aged and elderly women and all I could hear was ss....c...sh...p...t...ch...shhh..tss..k...sss...
Migraines are terrible and people that say they have "migraines" when they actually have headaches are worse.
Mandroid is right, but I have to say that a controlled amount of caffeine actually helps with my migraines rather than causes them - say, one or two cups of coffee day.
Having said that though, my migraines tend to be triggered by hormones and light patterns rather than allergies and are characterised by visual aura, mental confusion and numbness of the hands rather than headaches and vomiting (although that happens occasionally).
I find that aspirin at the onset helps more than anything and avoiding sleeping near vertical blinds and not being around flashing lights helps too.
Apparently the "nightshade" group of vegetables can be a trigger for some people - citrus, tomatoes, eggplants, potatoes.
Damn. I wish that my first post wasn't about migraines.
