TS-50 Pre-DI-Pedal

I'm going to sing this pedal's praises just once more, I promise:

Today I used it at home with my Ampeg B-15 and a Precision Bass. Do you use a Rat, Big Muff, or any other similar overdrive pedals for bass? Might as well sell them now and get one of these instead. Used in the signal chain as a basic overdrive, I was HIGHLY impressed. It can sound just like a vintage Rat, but with a seemingly endless supply of low end which you can increase or decrease as you wish, which has always been my number one complaint about the Rat. This was just with the Input Gain switch set to Hi. Switch on the Boost and you're into Big Muff fuzz territory, but with a much wider EQ palette to work with. That, and you can still hear every note being played.

I really dig the pedal as a bass preamp. I've still not hooked it up with my big guitar amp.

But still, it gives me a scalable bass setup. I have a 1 rack unit 200w amp, and 2 rack unit 800 watt amp, a 2 rack unit preamp, and the pedal sized preamp. Plus, I have 2-15 cabs. The combinations for small to big and light to heavy are great!
