We've discussed this one before haven't we?

Also- Slint live is boring as shit, and I could never stand 90's bands that aped them with their spindly dynamics and fill-happy math drums.
You call me a hater like that's a bad thing

Somewhere long ago I went on a rant about my sincere love for the big Boston butt-rock.

You may be right. Doing too much work to check right now, though. If so, you have my advance apologies.

I saw The Shipping News open for Fugazi in Louisville sometime in '01 or '02, and was engaged during their whole set. Maybe 5 people in the whole audience knew the material, but they made plenty of new fans that night, myself included. Of course, they then proceeded to break up.

What I got out of it had more to do with watching the thought processes in progress onstage instead of just watching a band rock out.
