Not sure on this one... Ive heard the bass pickup theory.. It was rumored that he runs the bass pickup out a second output jack and out to a bass amp... I also heard the guitar he uses is a hybrid guitar that has both guitar and bass strings on it....
These are all I heard from a friend who heard from a friend who saw a show stories....
Im quite interested in the facts as well..

4I'm pretty sure he has a bass pickup (I think on just on the low strings), and it goes to his pedals independent of the guitar pickup. And there is definitely an octave pedal. if you look inside the CD case for whatever had bound for the floor and eddie vedder, you'll see his pedalboard, at least at the time. I thihnk he used a Boss OC-2. Anyways I"m pretty sure he just played bass on the actual albums. It's just a live thing, the octave pedal-bass amp set up

6I have a friend steve who just moved from pittsbrugh to brooklyn to philly and plays a baritone in a 3 piece. I'd love to try a baritone, but I'd feel like I was copying him ha. I never saw miroslav, that I remember. I was in the not at all popular band Contrawise, though I'm starting a indie/pop/grunge/punk/rock 4 piece that wiill be a sensation ha.
Lamarr Woodley is going to destroy QB's and right tackles this coming season. He's going to be such a monster. He had more sacks than clark haggans, despite playing only 5 snaps on defense ha.

7From the first guitar magazine I ever read, actually:
Scott Lucas's guitar setup:
Guitar pickups --> jack 1 --> probably a pedal or two --> guitar amp
Bass pickup --> jack 2 --> octave divider --> bass amp

8Man, I'm in the middle of starting a band where I play a setup like this.
Guitar-->a/b splitter
SIGNAL 1-->MXR Blue Box w/ blend knob at 9:00 or something, i find a point where it's all gated and gets the notes wrong--> bass head, or whatever's around I guess
SIGNAL 2-->Tube Driver 911-->clone of old "bee in a can" fuzz pedal --> clone of Roland Beebaa --> danecho --> Fender amp
And then I turn it up really really loud.
Does anyone else play these weird simultaneous "regular guitar + low end" set ups?
