Hi Tim,

I started a thunderdome of Yes vs. Pink Floyd. It's a tie right now, so we need your help. I have a feeling that you either really like Yes or that you're like "meh, whatever".

Oh and since you're being asked questions about Andy, is he a member of this forum? If he is, I've never seen him posting(or didn't know it's him). Do you know why he didn't create an account here, or if he did, why he's not active?

if it's not too much, please let him know that he's my favorite guitar player.

kthxbye

Oh Hai Tmidgett!

The Spurs are going to destroy the Suns in the first round.

Thought you'd be interested.

I AM interested. I like the Suns, but I've been a Spurs guy for many years. My favorite NBA team--at the start, b/c of Duncan and Popovich, but then the whole organization just bloomed. Beautiful team for many years.

However, I am only interested just now. I am also one of the many NBA fans who only pays any attention to the playoffs. So time to start watching for me.

Any chance that with the warm weather approaching, there will be girly tank tops with the Bottomless Pit logo for sale at upcoming shows?

I would buy one and wear it. Thought you'd be interested.

ERawk, it's possible. Good idea.

You going? Might be his last tour for a while out that way.

Didn't know about it, and therefore didn't go.

Never seen him live.

I can't find our SM58. I rarely need it, but I do. Right now I've got the guy on a Beyer M88, but I can tell he'd rather have a 58. What should I do?

Steve, I would try an SM57 and tell him that's how you recorded David Yow, so....If he doesn't know who David Yow is, I would take the ball off the Normaphone and glue it over top of the 57.

Alternately, you could go buy one at Guitar Fuckers for $75. But then you're stuck with an SM58.

I'm not Tim, either. Those are very, very nice but I think they would be difficult to tailor into girl wear given the shape. This is a primary concern. Vansons fit great (I have a leather guy (vockins-grazi per la raccomandazione. Saranno i "whiskey", amico)) and maybe I should stick with them for a textile one. But I want to get to the bottom of the Andy Cohen choice before doing so.

He never got back to me, which is strange, b/c he's more geeked about motorcycles than anyone else I know, including people who have ridden their entire lives and race them and so forth.

I'll ask again.

Confidential to Tim: these are really nice.

Beth, how...you can PM/email me if you like w/price if you know it. I probably cannot afford them.

Hey Tmidgett! I thought this story would make you happy:

http://consumerist.com/381564/the-crocs ... -1-factory

. . . the company slashed its sales forecast and announced that it would be closing a plant in Quebec due to decreased traffic in its US stores.

Lotsa schadenfreude to go around the world of finance lately, but nothing has pleased me as much as watching Crocs go down the tubes.

I actively dislike Yes. I hate a lot of Pink Floyd also, but I like the first two records, and I have a soft spot for some of Wish You Were Here. So I guess P.Floyd, but honestly I don't think I can manage to bother to vote!

Oh and since you're being asked questions about Andy, is he a member of this forum? If he is, I've never seen him posting(or didn't know it's him). Do you know why he didn't create an account here, or if he did, why he's not active?

Andy is Dogrange here, but he has other things to do, like surf the web looking at motorcycle porn and so forth.

I will tell him of your statement. It will please him.

Hey Tim

Do you remember that time we played together in Philly at the Khyber and you saw me admiring that poster of Lee Jeans spokesman Buddy Lee...so you stole if for me and put it into my bass case?

-Jason

I remember the show and tour extremely well. 1997, I think. We borrowed a bunch of your stuff, and you in fact bought us sushi in Philadelphia. You guys were good there; we were OK as I recall, but nothing special.

I do not remember stealing this poster! Or even seeing it!

I have had to buy a couple things back. Cult _Electric_, I think.

Funny, I decided to listen to this today. Man, that cover of Born to be Wild is pretty terrible.

So many palm-muted riffs on that record. They must have been listening to nothing but AC/DC in the tour van before they recorded it. I used to have a cassette of their album Love when I was like 13, but I never owned this one.

Kinda surprised that you went back for seconds on this one. Then again, I can picture you flying down the street listening to this. That's what this record was clearly made for.

Electric, I figured I'd outgrown laughing at it at a certain point, so I sold it.

I was wrong!

Hey Tim,

What are your thoughts on what the New York Times calls a "new era" of brewed coffees?

This $20,000 "Siphon Bar" imported from Japan? There's one in San Francisco; strictly drip. Coffee is supposed to subtly react in flavor to the change in temperature? She sound of the crazy, this coffee, no? (My friend in S.F. had one today and said it was pretty fucking good.)

Check out the photos in this article.

There's this cafe in my neighborhood. They take the coffee quite seriously. I can appreciate this. Would you share your thoughts on some of their "specialty drinks":

Image

(Dirty Mocha: crushed red pepper, raw cocoa beans, cinnamon, espresso, milk)

Image

(Beirut: espresso, water, cardamom, sugar)

Image

(The Bartolo:deconstructed tirami su featuring mascarpone cheese, espresso, biscotti, and balsamic vinaigrette)

Image

(The Islander: reimagined mexican hot chocolate with goldenrod honey, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, nigerian cayenne, nutmeg, grated dark chocolate, soy milk, half-and-half, and a single shot of espresso)

Image

(Bubbly Sweet Tart Kiss: ice, lemon, agave, sweetener, club soda, espresso, raw sugar)

Image

(Shot In The Park: cherries, blueberries, light whip, milk, baker's cocoa, sugar)

Can you describe to us your own dream specialty drink?

Quick Question: Plural of barista... Baristi? Baristas?

Me? I've been enjoying "The Gibraltar" as of late. Have you had one of these?

Finally, do you think there is any future in a new PRF game where forum members posts pictures of coffee and ask, what's on your coffee?

It's 1am and I just drank three cups of Extra Dark French Roast--wtf?!

Thanks for your time,
-Bambouche

I'm not Tim, but I am pretty sure the Spurs will be taking on the Nuggets in the first round, Mr. Taylor, so you might want to get your facts straight. I predict the Spurs in... let's say, five games.

That's how it works, right?

Right?
