I can't really play any of these, I should add.
the blazer is a nice hunk of wood (all maple). could stand to lose the dimarzio designed pickup though. i had one that i got for $180 shipped. not a bad fender copy and i loved the headstock shape. hated the uncountoured body.

Owned a MIM P-Bass at one point, which I ended up returning as I couldn't stand the unfinished neck.
Now I have this:
Early 80's Ovation Magnum. Absolutely love it. Was looking for something that wasn't too expensive, and got it based on what TMidgett and Matthew Taylor had posted here. This is the first time I've owned a bass and figured that I could keep this for the rest of my life and be pretty happy with it.
earlier mim precisions (before '01) had a finished neck, but a poplar body, now they come with alder bodies and unfinished necks. the pickups and knobs were also changed/upgraded.
if you go back through the ebay thread in tech room you'll see several posts of me pimping the magnums. even though i only knew of one bassplayer who used it. barry adamson.
