I drank gallons upon gallons of this stuff in college. It is not a good beer. It is, on the other hand, a very cheap passable beer.

In our youthful idealism (and penury), we were drawn to the motto: "From the land of pleasant living." You need that kind of sunny sentiment when you're getting shit-faced on horse piss beer in a basement apartment that looks like it should have a chalk outline of a body on the floor.

At the behest of Bad Comrade and a couple others, I finally tried Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark. I like it a lot.

Since I liked it, I decided to try the Summer Shandy, which I am loving. I don't usually go for anything lighter-colored than amber, but this is refreshing.

Pretty good, but way expensive.

a gorgeous beer. one of my favorites. in my eyes, stone can really do no wrong. everything they touch is pure gold.

was it really that expensive? i think it retails here (grand rapids, MI) in a 22oz bottle for between four and five dollars, which is what people pay on a regular basis for 16oz's of miller lite at a million bars across the nation.
