Did you guys see Bear Claw when they played there or something? That's totally Rich's move. Although he does it with a bass, not a guitar.

I do this with a mic stand sometimes, in the studio a Spoon makes a good mic stand.

I saw Matt Cronk do it on Paul's cymbal live. Made one hell of an awful noise.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

67I play fancy, expensive, ostentatious solos.
Basically I'm a rich man's Lindsey Buckingham. It takes me four months to complete just the opening riff of a song, utilizing at least three different studios in the process. Figure I'm dropping $1000 per note, or 2k for the minimalist stuff.

68Lately, I find myself writing songs with a part of the verse that has no lyrics. I'll stick a ham-fisted attempt in that spot. Fuck it, I'm 33. That's prime soloin' age.
I'm sure this has been posted already. Watch it again...for the first time. So good.

70I play two kinds:
1.) Ear-shredding feedback for eight bars.
2.) Rhythm guitar, but on the high strings.
"Grant Cross Punch Out" was a fluke.
"Tetsuo II: Body Hammer" isn't me, it's our drummer.
