i wouldnt go as far as calling an actor an artist, though i can definitely respect some actors to a high degree - but artists? Nah. To me an artist need to be productive in a more fundamental way, not "just" interpretating a role (made by an artist, if it is of high enough quality). I wouldnt call a singer an artist unless he or she had contributed imensly to the creation of the song as a whole and idea.

oh, it must suck for all those classical musicians out there, that they're merely the puppet hand of those real artists called composers, huh?

Milla Jovovich's 1994 album. My wife loves this thing.

That's a real album too, it's not my cup of tea but it's a real album with real songs. I actualy took a chick to see her play at the double door a few years ago...shit, many years ago I guess at this point. It wasn't bad, she was really into playing her stuff and I enjoyed myself. She releases full albums of new songs for free on her web site all the time.

How does one become a Scarlett Johansson fan? Or fan of an actor in general?

Yeah it was sort of strange. The way I went about it was; I saw some movies that she was in and then decided that I really liked her as an actress. I still wasn't sure if that really qualified my being a fan of hers, so I revisited the movies and figured out that, in addition to appreciating her acting, I enjoy watching her lay around in these movies in her underwear.

That's what worked for me.
I've seen the bridges burning in the night.
