Korn totally revolutionised everything in all rock/metal genres. How can this band possibly be overwhelmingly thought of as crap?!?

Oh yeah, right.

Can anyone corroborate or refute the rumor/likely urban legend that the band got their name from when they were hanging out at a gay bar watching two guys rimming each other, only for the rimmee to have an "accident" of sorts, the aftermath of which was a single kernel of "corn" square in the middle on the rimmer's tongue? This may influence my waffle factor.

This sounds suspiciously like Limp Bizkit naming themselves after the frat hazing game where you circle jerk on a plate of cookies and the last one to skeet has to eat it.

So therefore irrefutably true.

Korn. I've never been able to get past the name to care enough to listen.

On a more interesting note, this is a great avatar. I've always loved it but never had the space to say so:

Also, Korn invented industrial music.

Sammy Hagar, with his smash hit single "I Can't Drive 55" was the first on the scene. Cars, after all, are very industrial. The notion that Mr. Hagar could not control his passion for this industrial creation attracted a new generation of "Autopunk" fans. The idea that he was "one with his car" made Sammy Hagar the first true "cyberpunk", blending machines with flesh.
