Band: Crass
5Great concepts + horrible execution = total crap. The musical equivalent of the dentist's drill.

6Damn socialists. Their techniques were inefficient, and as a result they misled many young skull buddies. Cool logo though.

7Hey, not crap.
Their lyrics look pretty ridicolous nowadays (too much ideologies to believe them!), but they had great musical ideas.
Listen to "Stations of the crass"...something like a different idea per track. I think this is a thing to think about.
And it was 1979! They were playing punk rock, and at the same time they didn't.
You know, it's something like what Wire did in Pink Flag.
In my opinion the simple fact of not playing a genre music is something really important to judge a band.

10they're great!
one of the most obnoxious bands ever.
as mentioned, these guys developed a total aesthetic all their own. how many bands do this? only the really good ones, usually.
they also had a really cool record label w/ lots of similarly bizarre shit. i know it served as a kind of model for dischord and touch & go.
"stations" is a great record!
i vomit for you, jesu.
