New football season 2008-2009

I got an e-mail today from some arsehole betting company that West Ham have given my e-mail address to, asking "WILL IT BE FOUR IN A ROW FOR THE HAMMERS???!!! - West Ham have beaten Man Utd in their last three Premier League games - Can the Hammers win at Old Trafford again?"

Of course not. The only four in a row today was the four goals Man Utd put past Robert Green. We got one consolation goal, scored by the world's unluckiest man Dean Ashton, who injured himself again while scoring.

I have never felt such antipathy towards a West Ham side before. Why the fuck Luis Boa Morte, Carlton Cole, Lee Bowyer, Craig fucking Bellamy and Bobby Zamora are still playing premiership football is beyond me. Our season effectively finished months ago, and recently our best player has been Nobby Solano. Thanks fuck there's only one more week of this breathtaking mediocrity to go.

No, not them... if I remember correctly, Garibaldi's semi-final last year was distrupted when some local kids took a violent interest in the game and it had to be replayed!

Tomorrow is going to be fun, I think.

I think - I'm not sure - that I want Chelsea to win the title. I'd say that usually I hate them more than Man Utd, but I just want to see the look on Ferguson's face if they fuck up. Ronaldo to miss another penalty in the 89th minute at 1-1 - I'd probably laugh for a week.

I reckon Birmingham may well win and still go down - it wouldn't surprise me if Reading and Fulham both won their games too. It's certianly hanging in the balance. I hope Birmingham are one of the two anyway - never liked 'em, and owned by an odious cretin. Hmmm same can be said for Fulham though... ah well.

So, preposterous predictions time:

Chelsea 3-0 Bolton
Wigan 2-2 Man Utd
Birmingham 2-1 Blackburn
Derby 1-2 Reading
Portsmouth 0-2 Fulham

At least, it would be funny as fuck if that happened.

"Lawro"'s predictions are a crock of shit though, it has to be said:

Too confident by half, mate.

He went to bed about a decade ago, or whenever he sold his soul to the bankers and the elites.

You remember correctly.
