Chicago Burger: Kuma s Corner

Getting a table at Kuma's isn't unlike going into battle. There's a general atmosphere of anxiety and adrenaline, fueled by the loud aggressive sounds and the knowledge that something monstrous will inevitably unfold in front of you, usually involving large slabs of meat.

One member of your party needs to assume "point duty" to give a name and be there when a table opens up while everyone else waits around and drinks or goes outside for a smoke.

While you're waiting, you always tend to observe the people around you to see which patrons are done for, and who's going to be selected to move in and take their place...

Extra runny, right?

Whatever. I don't care how much I hate it, it's getting eaten. I'm thinking about wearing a blindfold.

Watching people eat things they find disgusting will never get old for me, can't wait

This jogged my memory. If I recall correctly the Nachtmystium includes red pepper, garlic chips, mozzarella, and fried basil...I think so.

Well, I did it. Ate every burger on that fucking card. Today, I put the down the Kuma burger that I've been dreading all this time. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but not great either. I wouldn't eat it again. I'm excited that I can now move on to all the new burgers that I've wanted to try for some time.

So, all that hard work and I'm told that they no longer take your picture and put it on the wall. I'm shocked. I feel lied to and hurt. My lawyers are drawing up the papers for my class action suit as I write this.
I've seen the bridges burning in the night.
