this finally arrived in the mail today. holy fuck. one box that contains the vinyl albums in weird polywrap plastic slipcovers. another box that contains the hardbound book, the dvds & cds (in a second book), and the artwork (in a third book). both boxes together weigh a little under 10 pounds. completely beautiful, just sharp as hell. fwiw, one of the first things i thought upon opening it was 'goddam - this is some shellac-quality packaging.'

this is the fact i have always brought up. people are touting these cats as innovators, but 9000 indie bands beat them to the punch. just sucks that they didn't get the same kind of press.
