I don't know what exactly means in any specific context. But I can tell you about the slang expressions in general.

"Stop dead in their/my/his/her/our tracks" means something like... you're moving, maybe walking, and you see something that makes you stop, makes you freeze like a statue in place, maybe it's something frightening or dangerous or something like that. It doesn't *have to* be literal like that; it can be metaphoric, too.

Also, as a slang expression, "tracks" can be a reference to shooting drugs with a needle; the marks left on your arm from the injection are called "track marks".

I don't know if any of that has anything to do with the line you guys are talkin about. I barely ever pay attention to lyrics.

The dude with his fist raised was trying to get people around him into moshing (or simply was trying to get people hit with his elbows). It was so annoying I nearly had a fight with him, and threw another drunken asshole way to the side. I also reportedly verbally attacked a dude who didn't quite deserve it, which makes me feel a bit stupid. I remember being really angry at like 4 and 5 people there and feeling sorry for a cute little girl who was standing right next to me for a while. Some people can just fuck off, even at a Shellac gig.

Oh bloody hell, my last meal in Warsaw was lunch in the sushi restaurant across from there on Tuesday. I hope to return. I really like that little square - nice place to have digs.

Vienna show was aces. Steve cracked a Boche&Mustard Gas joke, I was the only person in the venue who laughed. There was also this annoying Australo-Italian tart who made a pathetic attempt at seducing Todd, two cute lesbian girls who put a beer in my hand and disappeared, a few ageing metalheads who looked pitiably confused, and a sweaty Bob Weston who sold me two sexy t-shirts.
