give it a once over before leaving. make sure the battery's fresh, the oil's changed and the fluids are good.

bring extra strings. have a backup guitar. know that your amp is reliable.

make as many friends in as many towns as you hit. when you come back it might be their place you're stayin'.

if you get into town early, have fliers for the show that day. put them up, pass them out.
