4June is amazing in Montreal.
If Montreal was that warm/nice year round, it would be the perfect city probably.

5The shit weather keeps the riff-raff out for the vast majority of the year. Otherwise we'd be overrun with wankers.
The Silver Mt. Zion/Picciotto(?)/Vic Chesnutt show will rock faces guaranteed. The website's currently groaning under the load and the schedule's not displaying properly, but I (maybe wishfully) recall that Jerusalem In My Heart is playing at some point, and they're just fucking epic. A single semi-improvised 15-20 minute set that destroys. The Lollipop People's recordings are not all that impressive but when done live it's probably the most entertaining kitschy-cabaret thing going (not a genre that gets me excited in general). The Sam Shalabi thing will assuredly be quite good.
Every year I shamefully fail to catch the free jazz shows. I'm probably leaving town soon, so I'm resolving to do something about that. How's the Sun Ra Arkestra these days?

I could do with a bit of spring/autumn myself. I always go from winter coat to shorts (or vice versa) in what seems like a week.

I feel this way about Athens, GA and July/August.
Today is the most perfect day imaginable, and the college girls are putting on their mating displays.

10If Nina N. can't make it, at least we have the Hit Parade.
art/noise maven organizer guy wrote:HIT PARADE at Suoni per il Pololo, Sala Rossa, June 9, 2008, 4848 boul. St. Laurent, Montréal, performance at 9pm sharp. Twelve participants lie face down on the sidewalk and street and proceed to pound the pavement with microphones one thousand times. The sound of each person’s actions is amplified.
