Wives also put out a split 12" with a band called Moving Units that is pretty much just a single, mellower track. It's a beautiful and great-sounding record. Those are the only two recordings I own, but I suspect there are at least one or two more.

Erect The Youth Problem is one of the best albums to come out this decade, and I guess it's weird to see No Age get so much attention when Wives were really on the cusp of it before they broke up. Some publications were calling them the first real L.A. punk band since Black Flag.

Sweet band who were already unfortunately on their way out by the time I got to see them.

there are a few singles. one of which was added onto an additional release (i assume?) of Erect The Youth Problem.

I'd throw the Wives/Moving Units thing up, but I don't have a way to transfer my vinyl to mp3. If someone else has the means, though, they should definitely do so.

I like the album Nouns loads. i think they're probably not crap. I know so actually. Gonna see em tomorrow night. more soon.

I like the new album. Any stories about why these guys are such douches? I've never seen them live, so what did they do to give you that impression?
