BAND: The New Year

41
That Saturday at T&G when there was so much amazing music, by many bands I had waited yrs to finally see, the New Year's performance is always the one I think about. They more then held they're own playing with bands I had only daydreamed about ever seeing. I was taken aback by how great they were live.

I always liked Bedhead, but there is something about the New Year's music, that while being similar, is so different and for whatever reason is even more appealing to me.

Salut, the New Year and their amazing music!

Their songs are anthems. I cannot get weary of them although I must have listened to them several hundred times now.

My favourites are "Alter ego" and "Plan B"...

Their music is so relaxed and beautiful. The lyrics are great.
Hope I get to see them live sometime...

The New Year are the opposite of crap...

Fingers crossed for European dates....

Imagine that! No West Coast tour from a band that I would like to see. And because the bands that I'd like to see are such a rarity here and when they play it's such a sought after event, the shows sell out within an hour and for far more cash than I ever have to spend.

I loathe living here.

They toured on the west coast last June, a few months before you moved west I believe. I saw them in Seattle and they were excellent.

Most of my current favorite bands are based in the midwest or east coast, so I rarely (if ever) get to see them. Hey, at least we've got TWO Blood Brothers offshoots to keep us busy? Eh?
