While there I saw Chris from Lords and went to say "hi and thank you for the music, especially Reynolds" to him but was pretty drunk and he was talking to someone I kind of half knew so it was weirdly awkward. It was in the Rescue rooms I think, if that's the bit above Stealth.

That'll be me! Possibly awkward due to me having to have been leathered to have been in the Rescue Rooms though I do vaguely recall this happening.

I mean, bondage trousers? In this day and age?

That'll be Si-maro.

That'll be right. That's Elvis, he camps a lot and surfs a lot. It's his annual birthday weekend in Wales around now so that all makes sense.

Also (without wishing to hi-jack this thread though perhaps it's a little late to worry now), within a half hour's drive of Nottm you have:

Bizarre houses in the middle of the forest built by men for a bet.

If you can ignore scumbags then the East Midlands is almost heaven.

Re: Newcastle I lived there for six months a couple of years ago and can vouch for it being awesome. Saw lightning bolt and battles within a couple of weeks of each other, actually I think with Lords supporting LB, at some kind of awesome community centre type deal.
It's great having the Metro, makes it feel pretty cosmopolitan, plus some brilliant pubs and parks. And also the Cluney, which i had mixed feelings about at the time but now remember very fondly.
