Why do I always get sick when I have time off of work?

Trying not to look out the window and think of all the shooting I could be doing, insted of sitting in my chair like an old lady with a blanket on my lap.

I hate it when i'm ill on my days off, makes me all bitter! Hope you feel well soon.

i only just now realize i slept like an hour. idiot.

How did you go to bed at 8, sleep an hour, and get up at 7:45? You have incredible powers of time manipulation.

i have amazing powers of not reading my watch well or being all that awake or all that sober.

I spent a wonderful weekend in Milwaukee visiting friends, drinking beers, carousing at many bars, and generally having a good time. I bought an Enuff Z'nuff t-shirt, and a Rhythm Chicken "Live at National Liquor Bar/Live at Koz's Mini Bowl" 7" with bonus DVD. I took the Lakefront Brewery Tour, which was excellent. I had such a great time, I was thinking that if I didn't have some big things brewing in Madison this summer, I'd start looking for a job and a place to live in Milwaukee.

Then Sunday morning as I was about to bid my friend farewell, I discovered my car had been broken into.
Stolen items:
1. CD Player
2. Running shoes
3. My fucking dome light

Milwaukee: I fell in love with you only to have you break my heart.

Then I drove to nearby Pewaukee to visit my family that had congregated to attend a recital where one of my sisters sang many beautiful arias. After a wonderful performance (with a standing ovation and an encore), I had a conversation with my mother:

Mom: Kyle, can you sing like that?
Me: No, I can't.
Mom: Probably because you don't practice enough.

Thank you, Mom. Nice to see you too.
That dog won't hunt, monsignor.

So btfl this detail! You are lucky indeed. What show do you do? Any way to listen online?

My show is called Radio Addiction, on KOTO radio (local, community radio station). You can listen anytime, online, via streaming radio, at http://www.koto.org. I am on the air every other Saturday evening, 6-9 pm MST. If you call, 970.728.4333, while I am there, I will play requests... assuming that we have it and that it is FCC friendly.

My friend was watching Pitchfork Media's TV station, where they have a show called "Juan's Basement" (http://www.papermag.com/blogs/tags/Juan's%20Basement)

Turns out I used to know "juan" when i was 12 and he was about 15. He used to be really impressed by my knowledge of grunge rock. I guess having that memory of him makes me chuckle when I see him doing the pitchfork media thing.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Little detail from my Saturday: went to go get lunch at Mr. Pollo over by Kuma's. Just after we placed our order, I saw a BIG FUCKING RAT scurry out from the kitchen area and underneath a big soft drink cooler across the aisle from our booth. After a few moments of "holy crap did that really happen what the fuck," I went up and cancelled the order and walked down to Kuma's.

We got a seat at Kuma's but they took so long that I got kinda fucked up on the combination of a couple 10% Unibroues and an empty stomach, and the futurewife had to drive us around to run errands. It was a weird day.
