This is definately interesting, at least for people like me that have the american versions out of our price range.
they have some modifications too.. no idea if they contribute positively to the guitars or not..
Jaguar here
Jazzmaster here
from the specs:
with some thoroughly modern improvements, including hotter pickups, a redesigned Adjusto-Matic bridge with floating tremolo tailpiece, a 9.5 fingerboard radius and an improved neck pocket with increased back-angle for improved stability and sustain. The tremolo plate has been moved closer to the bridge to increase break angle and sustain. A screw in tremolo arm increases stability and control when executing divebombs.
800$ maybe is a little steep but it's what you are paying for a japan guitar with their faulty electronics and stuff..
mmm.. thoughts?

4boring ass color's
I have many of both, but if they had a sea foam I would buy it.
I dont really care what the color is but when it comes to having many of these from mij, cij, american, and vintage I guess color does matter. I hope they make more color options but usually MIM are regular ol' colors.
Ya know I am not a fan of MIM strats and most Tele's But the MIM toronado and Tele deluxes are pretty sweet guitars.
Does anyone think these will seriously be better than MIJ ?

Don't know. At least we will be able to play them before buying.

The vintage 50s/60s strats and thinline teles are pretty nice, really nice for the money IMO

There are many good MIM Fenders out there. Like all third-tier models (Epi, ect.), you may have to play a bunch to find the gem. Some people swear MIMs can match or exceed the quality of MIA Fenders. That is not my experience, however.

10I really haven't had any great experiences with MIM Fenders either. I've had a couple of "This is the one!" experiences in guitar shops, only to return them a couple of weeks later.
Who knows, they could be cool though. I played one of those Jaguars with the humbuckers in them through a Vox AC15 the other day, and it sounded really cool. Kinda weird.
