Hmmm, those two tracks, especially Lord Godiva, do make a case for the last couple TJL records having their potential squashed by production decisions. This would be some enjoyable music in studio recordings, given the same treatment the first albums had.

As with the Fugazi vs. Talking Heads poll, I feel this is another case where it is clear that Fugazi put out a longer run of meaningful albums.

Like the Talking Heads, though, it is also a case where I like the Jesus Lizard a lot more than Fugazi, even though the last segment of their career wasn't so hot.
