If you're using Firefox, Rick Reuben has your back.

I am an internet retard.
I downloaded this script, and inserted the correct address for electrical's board in the appropriate place. Now what? how do I get FF to run the script?
kill file
8If you installed the mondo pita killfile, it should give you an options box in the lower right hand corner of your screen. The Delete-Filter should give you what you need.
For the life of me though, I don't know why anyone would need this, other than to filter out the porn bots if they are at work. If someone's posts are getting on your nerves, don't read them. You don't need a bit of code to do that.

Having used this script to effectively killfile a person or two, I will attest that it is much less annoying to just scroll past someone's posts rather than look at the gaping whitespace hole that this script leaves in the middle of a thread. Not to mention the problem when someone quotes the offending (missing) text anyway.
If you still want to make the script work though, and you're still having trouble doing it, make sure you have Greasemonkey installed. That's the key.
