Crap I just realized i may have to use my big ass cabinet, instead of my little 1x12 in my apartment because when i bought it from a custom cab place they told me the speakers would blow with more than 50 watts going through it and I have not turned up my amp (1968 Fender Dual Showman Reverb Head 135 watts) up past 4 since I bought it. That means lugging a freaking tall 2x12 which ways 60 pounds god knows where for 4 days. yuck.

Rhys has played here a few times the past few years (or maybe it was a few times at one festival - I'm drawing a blank,) but he hasn't done something epic like this here before.

He has very strong Atlanta ties. His label used to be here. Most of the guys in his Essentialist band are Atlantans. Dave Daniell, his right hand man on these guitar army projects, is from here.

So I just reread the qualifications and I saw it said they give preference to pros and semi-pros so I reapplied with the list of (crappy) bands I have recorded with, both in a real studio and in a home studio. Not sure how much difference it'll make but whatever.

And being a girl seems to provide you no bonus points, I checked.
